Furniture Painting Master Class
The Master Class is for lovers of upcycling. Each participant is required to bring a small piece of timber furniture, which can be raw, or previously painted or varnished. The class covers how to use a variety of painted finishes using the Porter’s range of products. Whether it be Chalk Emulsion, Milk Paint, Liquid Gold or Liquid Iron to name but a few, have fun giving your item or items a new lease on life. Learn how to apply metallic paints on woodwork, metal work and joinery, Liquid Zinc, Liquid Tin and Duchess Satin.
Try Wood Wash on timber to produce smooth white washes through to dark black Japan, as well as aged and distressed finishes including driftwood effects, with the Porter’s range of waxes adding another dimension.
This class is taught by Rebecca Neill, a scenic artist in staging and film, and who also works on fine finishes and furniture and joinery painting. Rebecca uses Porter’s Paints in many applications including commercial and domestic, on interiors, exteriors and furniture. She has completed her Certificate IV in painting and decorating.
